One of the strategies Merideth uses most in today’s North Texas market is redirecting buyers away from lowball offers toward seller concessions. When rates are elevated, a seller-paid rate buydown or concession toward closing costs often saves the buyer more money over the life of the loan than a reduced purchase price. Most buyers do not know to ask for this. Merideth makes sure they do.

Off the clock, Merideth lives on a lake in the Dallas area with her family and enjoys boating, reading, and traveling. Her family supported her career change from teaching into mortgage, and she has found that the two worlds are not as different as they seem. In both, the job is helping someone learn something they did not know and watching the confidence that follows.
