Dave Majcen

Dave Majcen has spent 25 years closing mortgages for buyers across Boulder and the Front Range. A University of Vermont graduate, Dave is a Loan Officer at Synergy One Lending, NMLS #1907235, NMLS #243393, based in Boulder, Colorado and serving clients in Denver, Winter Park, and Grand Lake. He works primarily with investors, self-employed borrowers, and buyers purchasing in Colorado’s rural markets.

Dave holds a Financial Planning degree and built his practice on going the extra mile, literally. When one client needed tax transcripts the IRS wouldn’t release quickly, Dave drove 100 miles round trip to secure the documents himself so the loan could close on schedule. That kind of persistence defines how he handles self-employed and investor files, where income documentation gets complicated fast.

Clients consistently point to Dave’s speed and knowledge, and to how he turns a stressful process into something manageable. He tells every client to start with two things: know your credit, and know your income and expense budget. From there, the loan conversation gets a lot easier.

One piece of advice Dave repeats often: the location and price of the home matter more long term than the loan itself. Rates and terms can be refinanced. A house can’t be picked up and moved. That perspective, paired with 25 years of watching the Front Range market shift through different rate cycles, helps his clients make decisions that hold up over time.

Outside of work, Dave skis, sails, travels, and spends time boating, usually with Rocky Mountain National Park as the backdrop. He’s raising two sons and calls teaching them to be men of good character his most important job. Colorado’s year-round access to the outdoors is a big part of why he’s stayed.
