Susan Duke

Susan Duke has been helping buyers in Eugene, Oregon since 2001, with a focus on first-time buyers, self-employed borrowers, and clients relocating to the area. One of Susan’s most memorable closings involved first-time buyers who had already been turned down by two other lenders. By working closely with both the buyers and their realtor, she structured a purchase scenario that made the deal possible. Watching them get the keys to their first home is why she does this work.

Clients consistently point to Susan’s availability and communication, and to how she walks through different loan scenarios before an offer even goes in. Her advice to anyone considering a purchase is to talk to a lender early in the process, before house hunting starts.

Susan often reminds clients not to pay off too much debt right before closing if those same funds are needed to cover closing costs or secure better loan terms. She holds a Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative designation from 2014 and, while not currently licensed in that capacity, still applies that training to view every mortgage as part of a client’s bigger financial picture.

A native Oregonian, Susan spends her downtime playing city league volleyball, getting outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband appreciate the scenery and quality of life the state offers, rain included, and she carries that same appreciation into how she serves her clients.
